A Day with Selfridges by Roseanna Croft Jewellery

One of my mantras is ‘something wonderful is about to happen to me,’ I have it on my wall and I think it regularly. Last week at Roseanna Croft Jewellery, we had one of our most exciting experiences yet! We were given the opportunity to pitch to the buyers of Selfridges.

Roseanna Croft Jewellery has had some pretty exciting moments in the last couple of years; our letter from Kensington Palace, being seen in Tatler (to mention a couple) and now showcasing our fine-fashion collections to Selfridges! We must be doing something right!

The opportunity came through a group I am a part of. I was attending The Fashion and Jewellery Exchange and was given the chance to apply to pitch to Selfridges. With no expectation whatsoever Roseanna Croft Jewellery was chosen! My heart stopped when I received the email! I had 4 days to prepare (and a wedding fayre in between!) It was so exciting!

After working hard to finish the main piece in my brand new collection ‘The Feather’ the day arrived, and it was incredible. I met some extremely talented and interesting people. I took away some amazing advice and learned A LOT. Then came my chance to pitch. I was so nervous. I explained my values to the wonderful ladies and explained that I design and handmake every piece from my workshop and boutique in Bakewell, Derbyshire. I gave them a little of my story, that I trained in Manchester and went on to be a Goldsmith in Australia. I mentioned the jewellery brands I aspire too; Stephen Webster, Shaun Leane, Annoushka and Theo Fennell. The designers who inspire me; Dior and Chanel.

It was the most incredible experience, Selfridges aside, just to talk about Roseanna Croft Jewellery and why the brand is so special. An amazing day all around! It has inspired me to keep pushing Roseanna Croft Jewellery down the track we are headed. We are a brand of high quality jewellery, crafted in Britain. We specialise in bespoke design and create fine-fashion collections that showcase gemstones and tell stories.
