Bakewell in Bloom

So last year we loved participating in Bakewell in Bloom so much that we are doing it again this year!

What we love about Bakewell in Bloom is bringing a community together. We are very lucky to have such a lovely community feel in Bakewell and the summer months really bring out the best in this!

Bakewell is set beautifully on the River Wye and the perfect location for a town in Bloom! Last year Bakewell won the RHS Silver Gilt and this year we are going for Gold! Which hopefully, with all the local boutiques and shops pulling together with the council we can make Bakewell blossom and take home the prize! So, this week we have decorated our windows and created a beautiful display of silk roses, ivy and daisies to complement our one of a kind jewellery collections.

The theme for this year is ‘Say it with Flowers’ which we think goes extremely well with ‘Say it with Diamonds’ so we have created a wonderful Tulip ball necklace as the centrepiece for our display! This hangs delicately from an ivy chain and beautifully complements the Daisy and rose necklaces adorning our jewellery busts.

We take a lot of our inspiration from nature as you can see from our designs already, so to get creative with flowers was extremely exciting and a new concept for us.

Bakewell in Bloom isn’t just about flowers as we have mentioned, it also helps to raise awareness of green issues and highlight the work of local communities who strive to make environmental improvements. In order to continue helping the environment, Bakewell is also starting a ‘No Single Use Plastic’ campaign which you can read more about here.

So, come and follow the Bakewell Flower Trail this summer! Roseanna Croft Jewellery will be number 39, start at the boutique and pick up your trail map from us to view all the wonderful shop window displays!

Last year we won the Highly Commended Award for Best Dressed Window so let’s see what this year has to offer! We’re very exciting to be going for gold with Bakewell!
