Speaking about engagement rings on BBC Radio 2’s Jeremy Vine Show on the 13th February 2020, Roseanna mentioned the current trend of how diamonds are still on trend with coloured gemstones becoming more popular. In relation to how much people “should” put towards engagement rings, she mentions that whilst most customers invest in the region of £2,000-£3,000, customers should spend what they feel they can afford comfortably.
With regards to Jeremy’s question on why there is a need to spend money on an engagement ring, Roseanna mentioned that it is expected and seen as the cultural norm. It was also pointed out that if a person is engaged and there is no ring to be seen, people will question the validity of the relationship.
