Handmade Jewellery Manufacturing Process

Ever thought about having a piece of jewellery made especially for you? You might have been under the impression that the process is a long and complex one but that isn’t the case at all! Bespoke jewellery is totally unique to you, and for those who want to design their own jewellery it is actually straightforward, with you firmly in the driver’s seat.

In this article, we take a look at the path to having your very own piece of jewellery tailormade, from the outset of the design stage, all the way through to completion and after sales. Read on…!

It’s good to talk

Not everyone has the same starting point for having custom made, personalised jewellery designed. While some people might already have a fairly clear idea of what they want in their head – from the style of ring to the metals and gemstones used – others might be going into the process with no idea whatsoever, and both are okay! Whichever category you fall into, an initial bespoke design consultation will be key. With Roseanna Croft Jewellery, this appointment allows us to discuss the design, and we’ll also show you examples of gemstones and precious metals to get you inspired while your designer sketches your ideas on paper to give you a visual idea of your piece.

The benefit of 3D

While your imagination and our initial sketches are important in putting the pieces of the jigsaw together, there is nothing like a 3D design to really start bringing your ideas to life. This is a crucial stage of the process, which allows you to review the dimensions, colours and overall look of your bespoke jewellery. If you are speaking to a bespoke jewellery designer who does not offer a 3D design service, remember that you could be missing out on the chance to carefully study how the design is taking shape.

Time for action

Once you’ve reviewed the design and are completely satisfied with what is planned, we’ll begin the handmade jewellery making process in our workshop. We can offer you a clear timeline, including when the piece will be ready, so as long as you give yourself ample time ahead of any special occasions, there won’t be any last minute panicking!

It’s all yours

Once completed, we will unveil your special bespoke jewellery. We will also present you with a lifetime guarantee and a valuation for insurance purposes.
