Jewellery Repurposed – Sapphire and Diamond Bangle

Last year I made a spectacular bangle which was a jewellery repurposed project from various pieces one of our clients had and I can’t believe it has taken me a year to share it with you.

I loved designing and making this piece as it truly is a showstopper in my eyes. My client originally came to me with a magnificent Topaz ring she wanted redesigning and after that, she found in her jewellery box she has some other pieces she didn’t wear anymore and wanted them updating.

Among these were a daisy diamond cluster ring that was too worn and a bit old fashioned and some other pieces that included lots of tiny sapphires.

My client knew she wanted a bangle and had seen a similar style in a magazine, but we needed some more gemstones to add to the mix, so we chose pale Ceylon sapphire baguettes to really give the piece some depth. Not only do the different shapes of the stone and how they are set add depth but also the different colours really compliment each other perfectly.

As this was such an unusual piece there was a lot of to-ing and fro-ing to get the design and the piece absolutely perfect which is why I am so pleased we have such great relationships with our clients – it allows us to create a piece of jewellery that is stunning and exactly what our customers ask for!

I was so happy with the finished article of this product that I really am surprised at myself at how long it has taken me to share this with you. But here you have it, an 18ct white gold hinged bangle with pave set dark blue sapphires, Ceylon sapphires in a baguette cut and our clients old cut diamonds taken from her inherited ring.
