It has definitely been up there with one of the best, as we celebrated our 3rd year of being in Bakewell.
As I’m writing this and thinking back to everything we have achieved as a business and brand this year I am so excited for 2019. In January of this year we had an exciting surprise feature in Tatler which gave us an exciting start to 2018.
Followed by visiting London Fashion Week as a brand in February, watching the catwalks for design inspiration!
In March of this year, we had one of the most exciting and surreal experiences when we were on the set of a new movie which our jewellery has been featured in! We still can’t talk too much about this as the film hasn’t been released you will be the first to know when it is!
Just after this, I took a break and jetted off to Australia for a few weeks for my best friend’s wedding which was a magical time. Coming back feeling refreshed (and slightly jetlagged) I was surprised again, this time with an invite to Buckingham Palace to celebrate Prince Charles’ 70th birthday.
The garden party took place on the 22nd May and it was one of the most magical days of my life. I was absolutely honoured to have been invited to such an event and will be forever grateful for the experience. And to be there for the first official appearance of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex was very exciting.
This inspired my trip to Windsor later in the year where once again, I gathered some wonderful inspiration for new pieces.
In August I was delighted to have been nominated for the Great British Entrepreneur Awards as Young Entrepreneur of the Year. I was shortlisted as one of 7 out of 400 entrants in the Midlands region and absolutely over the moon.
Because of this achievement I was given a lovely feature in the Derbyshire Life in the business section and asked to speak on behalf of the Prince’s Trust on the Sally Pepper show on BBC Radio Derby.
This October we launched our Lace collection, celebrated our third birthday and raised money for local charity the Titan Children’s Trust. Many amazing businesses donated raffle prizes and gifts to help us raise £525 for the trust which I’m incredibly proud of.
I look back at all of this and I am beaming with joy at what a wonderful year it has been. It hasn’t been all smiles and success, as business never is, but it really has been fabulous all the same.
One of the most exciting moments of this year though came in December when we hired our first staff member, Laura. Laura has come on board as Creative Strategist and some of you will have already met her if you’ve called into the boutique! She is a happy, bubbly and thoughtful woman with a generally glowing personality. She fits in at Roseanna Croft Jewellery like she has been here since the beginning and I can’t wait to see how she helps the business grow in the years to come.
This year we also launched our unique Bespoke Design Experience; our couture collections and worked with two amazing bloggers, Champagne and Petals and the Travels of Mrs B.
Now onto next year which myself and Laura are very excited for. We will be announcing our first official brand ambassador; collaborating with exciting brands such as Gizelle Renee; launching our signature cocktail which will be enjoyed at our Bespoke Design Experience and launching our rebrand!
I’d like to sign of this blog post by thanking each and every one of you for your continued support throughout the last three and a half years and I can’t wait to design you more beautiful, fine jewellery, in 2019.
Warmest Wishes,
Roseanna Croft x
