At Roseanna Croft we understand that buying jewellery for someone else can be difficult. We want to make the process easier with our buying guide. Pour a glass of champagne and unwind whilst we take the stress out of your Christmas Shopping.
So, tell a story this Christmas with the person you love and design a timeless piece that reminds you of this festive season. Bespoke jewellery design is said to be the ultimate luxury experience, it makes the perfect gift. Whether you surprise a loved one or experience it yourself it’s the best way to buy jewellery. It celebrates individuality, love, passion and design. Why would you give anything else? But where to start…
Metal, as you know wears over time. So, you imagine what your rings may through on a day to day basis and think about how that will wear the metal on your rings. If the metal wears away too much around the gemstones in your rings, then they will fall out. And you don’t want to lose a beautiful stone that holds so many memories for you!
A good place to start is by deciding which precious metal you would like the piece to be make out of.
An easy way to help you decide is to have a glance into their jewellery box and stick with the same metal. Alternatively, you can base it on which one would suit their style, skin tone or personality.

Now the exciting bit, which gemstone you are looking for? See below for a selection of our favourites.
Opal – Creamy, pearlized and a magical stone, filled with fire. Needs an expert touch to be incorporated into a phenomenal design.
Diamonds – Classic, breathe-taking and timeless. Make sure you consider the colour, clarity, cut and carat when buying them (we have a helpful guide on our blog).
Black Diamonds – A new take on the LBD, elegant and striking. Why do traditional with a white diamond when you can have a unique black diamond instead.
Sapphires – These can be found in almost every colour. Ranging from deep azures to delicate lilacs. A unique and precious addition to any piece of jewellery.
Amethyst – A popular stone and looks great in any colour metal. Can be found in a deep regal purple all the way to pale lavender shades.
Morganite – A peachy pink stone that brings out the best in most skin tones. A beautiful stone that symbolises compassion and promises.
All these gemstones have different attributes and suit many personalities and occasions! Which is your favourite?
Another option to create a new addition to someone’s (or your own) jewellery box is jewellery redesign. Perhaps you have jewellery that is worn beyond repair, or maybe you’ve inherited a necklace that is not to your taste. Maybe you have your grandmother’s old engagement ring?
Don’t just let it sit in your jewellery box. Jewellery is given to people, so it can be worn. If you won’t or can’t wear it as it is then let us help you fall in love and wear it again. You can find more information on jewellery redesign here.

If all that is seems too complicated, we have a way of making it even easier with one of our Bespoke Design Experience gift vouchers. Allow your loved one to design their own new heirloom and experience ultimate luxury. You can incorporate old stones and jewellery into a new design or design a piece from scratch.
When treating your loved one to a Bespoke Design Experience you allow them to take a seat at the design table and talk in depth about their jewellery dreams whilst enjoying a crisp Champagne.
